:-)))) Thanks for admiring my art. That's a bigger trip than I took in my eggcraft today.
It means that you were bored or depressed and wanted to make something pretty, so you could feel good about yourself.
I understand your friends feelings, if people ask 'what does it mean', it implies that the artist has failed.
And maybe the artist has, but more often it is the viewer that is failing by expecting a story to be laid out serial fashion with no expectation of the need to think, just the desire to be entertained.
I think it depends on why the artist did what he or she did.
If the point was to communicate a feeling, then the issue is not a logical message perse, but a feeling. A picture might simply mean happiness or sadness. Especially since art is also a form of therapy for dealing with life. Like I say, I like creating pretty things when I am depressed. It just makes me feel better about myself.
I would prefer my pictures to make people feel happy because life can be grim. I don't see a point to making it grimmer. That's why I use bright colors and have lots of curves and symmetry and details. Because those are things that look pretty to me.
I have noticed that being abstract gives some people an extra buzz because they can exercise their imagination and see things in it that I never intended for them to see. And that's great.
PS But in terms of my wishbones, I was just having fun with our camera and the wishbones I had collected. If someone is looking for a deeper message than that, then they'll have to make it up themselves.
I love the pictures from 3 sides. I am a literal person and I loved seeing what it was really made of at the end. Very fun!
